Congratulations to Theresa McIvor for being awarded CIHR 3 post doctoral fellowship for her work entitled "Using Magnetic Resonance Imaging to Study How Altered Brain Structure and Function Relate to Psychological Comorbidities and Childhood Trauma in Inflammatory Bowel Disease". Her grant was ranked 6th out of 153 applicants.

Caitlynn Danchuk is studying human nutritional sciences at the University of Manitoba. She is in her final year of studies. She was diagnosed with ulcerative colitis at the age of 7 and despite juggling her illness, school, volunteering and work, she won a few awards for her dedication. The awards that she has received during her undergrad are as follows. In 2018 she won the UM Hogg Centennial Entrance Scholarship. In 2020 she won the University of Manitoba General Scholarship Agriculture. In 2021 she won the Joan Fleming Anders Scholarship in Nutrition two different times, Goldie Goldstein Prize in Nutrition, MSBI Scholarship Fund and the Manitoba Egg Farmers Scholarship – Human Nutritional Sciences.
